Bethesda, MD – American Capital Strategies, Ltd. (NASDAQ: ACAS) today announced an investment of $7 million in IGI, Inc. (AMEX: IG) The investment consisted of senior subordinated debt with warrants exercisable at $0.01 per share for 1,907,543 shares of the company's common stock. Based in Buena, New Jersey, IGI is a pharmaceutical and consumer products company with numerous technologies including the patented Novasome® microvesicles. Fleet Capital Corporation, (Glastonbury, Connecticut) provided the senior debt in this transaction. [more...]
