BETHESDA, Md., Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- American Capital Strategies, Ltd. (Nasdaq:ACAS) announced today that John R. Erickson has been named to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Erickson is a CPA and is currently President of Storage USA Franchise Corp. a subsidiary of Storage USA, Inc. (NYSE: SUS - news) and was previously (1990-96) the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Storage USA, Inc.
While at Storage, USA, Inc., Mr. Erickson negotiated and structured in excess of $750 million in public and private debt and equity offerings for the company including the initial public offering. He structured and is currently responsible for the company's franchise services subsidiary. John Erickson is to start at American Capital at the beginning of the new year.
As CFO of Storage USA, Inc., Mr. Erickson managed the finance and accounting department including governmental reporting, information systems and investor relations. He has also negotiated and structured property acquisitions and joint ventures relations for Storage USA.
